One Improvement That Changed the Way We Work.
At MKS, we’re always looking for ways to simplify complex processes and make them more efficient. One area that consistently posed challenges was our User Access Review (UAR) process for our SAP ERP. This routine compliance activity involved a lot of manual coordination, delayed responses, and limited visibility making it time-consuming and difficult to track.
We took a step back and reimagined the process. By implementing automation through SAP’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tool, we transformed how UARs are managed. After implementation of this new process, reviewers are now automatically identified and notified to review the SAP access of their team members. Status updates are available in real time, and every action is logged for transparency and audit readiness.
While the original goal was to improve review turnaround times and accuracy, the benefits extended further. We gained better audit compliance, enhanced data consistency, and reduced dependency on manual tracking. Teams now spend less time on follow-ups and more time on value-added work.
